Chart House Reunion 2015
June 1, 2015
It was a party to remember, with 400+ ex-Charties gathering to reminisce and celebrate the Chart House era. Bluewater Boathouse occupies the 1887 Boathouse, which was Chart House #4 from 1968-2001, so it was indeed a special gathering, and in a special place.
On April 26, 2015, we paid homage to the Chart Restaurant era by hosting the First Annual Chart House Reunion. More than 400 ex-Charties turned out for the event! Bluewater Boathouse was thrilled to introduce everyone to our Coronado restaurant. What made it even more special was that the 1887 Coronado Boathouse, where Bluewater now operates, was Chart House #4 from 1968-2001.
The underlying theme of the afternoon was a celebration of a time gone by. In fact, many of those in attendance said the best years of their lives were spent working at a Chart House restaurant. Old Chart House #4 was rockin' and a rollin' and what a way to pass the baton from the Chart House to Bluewater Boathouse.
A special selection of food items was created from the old Chart House wooden menus. Bluewater chefs worked from original Chart House recipes while servers handed out items familiar to Chart House customers such as Teriyaki Sirloin, Hawaiian Chicken, Sautéed Mushrooms and Coconut Shrimp.
Professional photographers mingled and captured the event while a disk jockey played music selected by the former Chart House workers they felt best immortalized their era.
Thank you to everyone that came out! The event was such a success that Bluewater Boathouse has already agreed to host the Second Annual Chart House Reunion in 2016. Stay tuned for details!
