New Cut Fitness Menu

We've partnered with OC's CUT Fitness to create a seafood-inspired fitness menu! Our Executive Chef Jason Mazur teamed up with Eddie and Tamra of “Real Housewives of OC” to create delicious low-fat alternatives.

Tustin, California (Nov. 13, 2015)

Bluewater Grill Tustin has launched a new CUT Fitness Menu specifically for Southern Californians looking for healthy alternatives to traditional restaurant fare.

The new menu, co-created by Bluewater Grill Executive Chef Jason Mazur and Eddie and Tamra Judge, founders of CUT Fitness, features lower-fat versions of eight sustainable seafood small plates and entrees found on Bluewater’s lunch and dinner menus. Gourmet-inspired highlights range from Grilled King Salmon over quinoa, roasted asparagus and citrus oil and a Roasted Vegetable Sandwich with baby arugula, red bell pepper, squash and red onion to Herbed Free Range Chicken Breast with local spaghetti squash, sautéed Brussels sprouts and thyme chicken jus.

Tamra is one of the stars of “Real Housewives of Orange County,” and created CUT Fitness in Rancho Santa Margarita with her professional trainer husband in 2013 to be the largest small group fitness Studio in Orange County.

The Bluewater CUT Fitness Menu was unveiled last night by Mazur and the Judges during a special cocktail reception The District at Tustin Legacy restaurant attended by RDs, health and fitness bloggers, social influences and the media. In addition to the seven dishes on the menu, attendees sampled The OC CUT-tini, a blood orange-infused vodka martini with champagne, created by Bluewater bartenders in honor of the partnership with the famous Orange County fitness studio.

“Seafood is seen as the ‘new’ protein choice by many of our members thanks to its low fat and calorie content and high level of antioxidants and essential nutrients,” said Tamra. “At CUT Fitness, we advocate a total-body approach to fitness that encompasses diet and nutrition – so a partnership with Southern California’s leading sustainable seafood makes a lot of sense.”

Chef Mazur worked with the Judges for several months to perfect a fitness-themed version of the lunch and dinner menus he creates for the seven Bluewater restaurants in Southern California and Arizona including waterfront locations in Newport Beach, Redondo Beach, and Catalina and Coronado Islands.

“We’re always exited to expand the public’s perceptions of sustainable seafood and shellfish,” explained Mazur. “Our fitness-inspired customers will now be able to order from a special menu of low-calorie, high-protein small plates and entrees prepared exclusively for them. While all seafood offers a certain level of health benefits, this menu is perfectly suited to the athletes and exercise enthusiasts at all stages in their fitness journey.”

The full menu is available starting today at Bluewater Grill Tustin. Other Bluewater Grill, Bluewater Avalon and Bluewater Boathouse locations may offer the menu at a later date.
